Hi, I'm Jodie - Founder of The Empowered Educator website, an early childhood educator, presenter, trainer, consultant, writer...and now your guide to using AI in early education. With degrees in early childhood as well as social and human services I’ve been working with children and families in some way for over 35 years and that means a whole lot of lessons learnt, mistakes made and knowledge gained!

I've since become a certified Google AI in education expert, specifically focused on applications in early childhood education. I've spent countless hours researching, taking part in training courses, testing, and developing ways to use AI ethically and effectively in early learning settings.
But I'm not just an AI enthusiast – I'm an educator at heart. I understand the joys and challenges of working in early childhood settings. I know the pressure of increasing documentation requirements, the struggle to find work-life balance, and the constant drive to provide the best possible learning experiences for children.
