Winning the Gastro War!

by The Empowered Educator 9 Comments

I just wanted to stop by this space that i have been neglecting in the past few weeks and apologise to those lovely readers who have left me comments and emails that i haven't yet replied to!

Unfortunately Ruby has had an awful time with a bout of gastro that left her in hospital with dehydration….and Mummy a little traumatised after comforting a 2 two year old who didn't understand why people were holding her down and poking and prodding her little weak self. I think she has finally turned a corner and seems to be getting a little stronger each day now…unfortunately i fear it is now Tara's turn as she has gone off her food and become very clingy……i have my fingers crossed as i seriously don't think i have a lot left in the tank to go through this virus taking hold again….but all Mother's do i know and i will find the reserves to continue to comfort and be nurse….it's in the job description after all isn't it?

I'm a little sore myself after having 3 moles cut out a few days ago….and a little stressed as i wait for results. I wrote a little about skin cancers here if you are interested.

So there hasn't been a lot of time or energy to visit and write in this little space of mine. I haven't been able to reply to your blog comments and emails I'm sorry…but please know that i appreciate every single one and will get to them soon i promise…..i understand the time it takes for you to visit and leave a comment or email so i did want you to know i do appreciate the effort. I have also missed my daily visits to favourite blogs and will enjoy catching up when things begin to get back to normal around here.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend…….i shall just be happy not to wash any more stinky sheets and clothes (i've come to accept the smell of vomit as normal lately…which is a little concerning i suppose, lol…lucky i'm not going out anywhere anyway!)

Hope to be back writing again next week…..sharing the good, bad and messy of our family life with you…thanks for hanging in there!

Warm Wishes

Jode – give apple cider vinegar in juice to Tara… and you! It will arrest the gastro before it takes hold. Works like a charm!

It was always something i was dreading with twins but at least my worst fears didn’t come true which would have been both of them in hospital at the same time…not sure how i would cope with that one!We are all good at the moment!
