You all know how much I love crafts that are inexpensive, easy to do and can be completed with items from around the house. I know many of you do too so that is why I am so excited to be participating in the Australian Blog Tour for the fantastic new book from Maggy Woodley….
Red Ted Art – Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids.
I have been following Maggy Woodley's wonderful blog Red Ted Art for quite a while now and enjoy her innovative yet simple crafts. I love that she uses many items from around the home or recycle bin and they are easy enough for kids (and adults!) of all ages to enjoy making and playing with.
Her blog is full of colour and whimsy and you can't help but smile when you see her lovely images and creations. Many will go on to be cherished childhood keepsakes I'm sure!
So i was very excited to hear Maggy had written a book full of her crafty creations and that she would generously allow me to share an excerpt of my favourite activity from the new book with Mummy Musings and Mayhem readers! And what did i choose to share with you?
I just loved these cute Egg Chicks! Don't they look so colourful and friendly….I just knew we would have to give them a try!
The toddler twosome love to help me collect the eggs from our chooks each day and I am always looking for new crafty ways to use up the shells so this craft was just perfect for us! All I need is some tissue paper, glue and some bits and pieces from the craft box…and the egg shells of course!
I think they are going to have some new toddler friends very soon and they will sit perfectly in our egg carton baskets too! If you would like to give them a try yourself you can download the instructions from the book for free below. Just click on the picture!
Red Ted Art – Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids is available to order through Book Depository with free worldwide postage…how easy is that? You can also purchase it at all good independent bookstores here in Australia.
You can see even more cute crafts from Maggy's Book by visiting the other fantastic Aussie Bloggers taking part in the Red Ted Art – Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids Australian Blog Tour on the list below….
