It's time to have some fun linking up and exploring with the Weekly Kid's Co-Op! There have been so many fantastic ideas lately….consequently i have been spending way to many late nights on the computer!
I really love to come across simple ideas that i know toddlers will love to have fun with without getting too frustrated! And after looking through last week's link ups i can see that there are many toddlers having lots of creative fun out there across this world of ours!
I am linking up a couple of our own easy activities this week….easy to set up, easy to play with and easy to clean up…..just the way this busy Mum likes it!
Kid’s Co-Op and Fun with Balls!
Ball and Marble Painting
The toddler twosome have been carting these little square boxes around for the past 2 weeks to do all sorts of things….on this day i thought they would be the perfect size for a little bouncy ball and marble painting!
I love marble painting but as Ruby still puts a lot of objects in her mouth to hold (due to her sensory seeking nature) i have been wary of doing it to soon.
However, it is a great fine motor and eye-hand coordination activity and as we are working on these skills at the moment i thought i would give it a try with a little modification!
I poured in a little of the edicol water paints which we had been using all week (hence the muted colours but i do love to use everything for as long as i can!) and dropped in a few of the little bouncy balls we use in a lot of activities…..i also used a few larger marbles (with some close supervision).
We talked about the different feel and colours of the marbles and and the bouncy balls and the girls experimented with how they wanted to roll the balls around…..Ruby preferred to push hers around inside the box while Tara preferred shaking the box from side to side.
She was fascinated with the patterns and colours that developed which is the part i love about this activity too….i think they felt a sense of control over their individual artworks!
There was a lot of rearranging of balls and marbles in the box…..
and then some good shaking!
An easy fun activity that can be modified to suit the age of most toddlers….i do caution that this is one of those activities that you need to sit and participate in with toddlers though due to the small parts!
We also linked up the fun we had outside with our…..

I love marble painting, the girls used to love doing it as well, they create such cool effects don’t they. Another activity I used to do with them is cover some cardboard with alfoil and let them paint on it with acrylic paints, just a little bit different too:) I hope you are having a love week Jode. xx
Such a fun activity. I don’t think I’ve done is with the twins yet. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks for linking to the Sunday showcase.
